How we size your solar system
System size comes down to three things: how much usable roof you've got facing a decent angle, how much power you use, and what you're trying to achieve, whether that's cutting your bill as far as possible, covering most of your daytime usage, or setting up for a battery down the track. Orientation matters too. A north-facing roof generally generates the most across the day, but east and west-facing roofs still work well, just with a different generation curve, which changes how big a system makes sense. We work all of this out from your actual power bill and a look at your roof, not a rule of thumb applied to every job the same way.
Budget matters as much as roof space. A smaller system now with room on the switchboard to add panels or a battery later is a legitimate choice, and one we'll set up properly if that's the plan, rather than pushing you into the biggest system your roof can technically hold. What is included in an installation
A proper installation covers more than the panels on your roof. It includes the panels themselves, an inverter sized to match them, mounting hardware rated for Sydney roof and weather conditions, the switchboard and electrical work that connects it all safely, monitoring so you can see what your system is generating day to day, and a compliance certificate once it's signed off. That switchboard work includes the isolators and safety switches a solar connection needs, checked and upgraded if your existing board can't carry the new load safely. The install process, step by step
It starts with a site assessment: we look at your roof, your switchboard and your power usage on site, not from a satellite photo. From there we design the system, confirm the panel count and inverter, and lock in pricing before anything is booked in. On install day, the crew fits the panels, inverter and wiring, and connects it through to your switchboard. Once it's physically connected, we handle the grid connection and meter update with your network and retailer, then sign off on the compliance certificate so you're covered and ready to switch on.
